banzai510(hainz) Posted May 13, 2013 Report Share Posted May 13, 2013 when using points or a Pertronix ignition one needs a Ballast resisitor to keep the current low. 1 also uses the higher ohm point coil of usually 1.6 ohms. its there for a reason Quote Link to comment

ETA: Nevermind, found plenty of diagrams on the web. The one I have says 1.6 OHMS when I cleaned it up. Quote Link to comment
