Cacaman27
I have a 1970 Datsun 510 Wagon and am looking to purchase 15x8 XXR 531 rims but I dot not know anything about Offset. The wagon has front 280zx struts with coilver and camber plates and is currently lowered. The back is just lowered with block. The current front rims are 280ZX turbo rims and the rear rims are the stock rims off a 92 240sx. Will XXR 531 15x8 with 0 Offset fit on my car? http://s258.photobucket.com/user/Cacman1027/media/20130428_172719.jpg.html 1 Quote Link to comment

510T
Nice wagon! Should fit the front with various amounts of camber/stretch/roll. Not sure about the back. Quote Link to comment
RedBanner
I dont think a 7 inch wide wheel with.0.offset is going to fit.under a stock rear quarter. But yesterday, while answering the exact same question I was told a 8 et0 would fit. Ive seen it not fit at all. But who knows for sure get under there with a tape measure and let us know.what you find out. Quote Link to comment
Cacaman27
Thanks for all the info! I will give it a try. I don't know what offset on the current rims is but hoping that the 0 offset will fit both back and front. Quote Link to comment
Cacaman27
But if the current rims fit shouldn't the XXR 15x8 fit also? I don't have much knowledge wheels and offsets. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Why? the current rims arent 15x8 et0... Quote Link to comment
dakotahchore
yeah, i too want to find out if 15x8 +0 will actually fit under the rear with some stretch. seems there are conflicting opinions Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
I have seen enough wagons with 15x7 et0, to say 8 will poke, but we are only talking 1/2 inch. A good roll/pull should cover it, but dont forget about the step! Quote Link to comment
dakotahchore
gotta figure out how im gonna remove that damn step haha Quote Link to comment
RedBanner
Novel concept. But I gut the perfect offset for my 4 door 710.... by using a tape measure. It was alot harder to get the wheels than it was to figure out what I wanted. Quote Link to comment
Cacaman27
Here are pictures of the wheels. I measured the rear and there is an 1" from the tire to the leaf spring and about 1-1/2" from the tire to the fender. Current wheels are 7" wide 195/50/15 http://s258.photobucket.com/user/Cacman1027/media/20130507_184602.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 http://s258.photobucket.com/user/Cacman1027/media/20130507_184629.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1 Angleure of picture looks like tire is touching but there is an 1" from the tire to the leaf spring and about 1-1/2" from the tire to the fender. http://s258.photobucket.com/user/Cacman1027/media/20130507_184841.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2 Maybe 15x8x 0 offset for front and 15x8x +10 offset for rear? Thoughts??? Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Your current wheels are 6 inch wide... You are running 240sx wheels in the rear, and 280zx in the front. They are both 15x6. You measure from inside to inside on wheels, where the tire bead sits. Quote Link to comment
Cacaman27
Thanks! I guess its 6 then. I just measured the tire from end to end and it was 7" Quote Link to comment
RedBanner
Yeah thats what alot of people do. Every one thinks the iron crosses are 7 inch wide with a zero ofset. The truth is I dont think any nissan mags ever.had a zero offset. Those are most likely both + 10ish Quote Link to comment
Duncan
yeah, i too want to find out if 15x8 +0 will actually fit under the rear with some stretch. seems there are conflicting opinions I have a 13x7 rim with 0 offset and 205/60/13's on my goon and they rub a little in the rear on bumps. (No fender lip roll, and my wagon is lowered about 2" in rear) If I put the same setup with 13x8 it wouldn't work on my goon at all.. Quote Link to comment
LeX
fitting is relative. here is my goon with 15x8.5 -5 205/50/15 and 15x9 -15 225 50 15 they 'fit' Quote Link to comment
dakotahchore
love it.. rubbing?suspension setup? fitting is relative. here is my goon with 15x8.5 -5 205/50/15 and 15x9 -15 225 50 15 they 'fit' Quote Link to comment
LeX
love it.. rubbing?suspension setup? it rubs on the front on turns lol but it's 280zx brakes and some cut coilover springs. back just has 2 inch blocks and rolled fenders so it doesn't rub as it's not lowered much. Quote Link to comment
MaxEmiliano
Will the 280zx turbo rims fit a stock suspension sedan 510, they are 15's? I've looked around and can't find the answer babygirls Quote Link to comment
