robopineapple
Dont be a dunce like me and forget to clean the glass before doing this!! supplies: Pebeo Vitrea 160 Glossy Glass Paint 45-Milliliter Bottle, Sun Yellow, Pebeo Vitrea 160 Glass Paint Thinner 45-Milliliter Bottle, and a weird squidgy paint brush thingy. Mix the yellow paint well: Just need a little bit of paint, it goes a very long way. i wasted almost all of this...: Add some of the paint thinner, dont need mutch of this either. i did about 1:1. maybe like a 2:1 paint thinner being more: Mix them together. this is what mine looked like after i mixed it up: Use the brush and do a lighter coat brushing only up and down, make sure to get all of the glass (around the bubbles if you have them like me). I also went around the edge just in case: Now repeat on the second one and BAM!! haha: I went over the left one with a bit more paint so they match now. Now i am going to let them sit for about a day or so. I heard that this paint works best if put in the oven after they have sat for a day. I dont think it is a very good idea with light bulbs though! I will take a picture of them in like eight hours and again closer to a full day. we will see how i feel about the oven at that point! I hope you enjoyed and that this has inspired so far! Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Dawa
i just bought 3m transparent yellow film from ebay (when i did a set of foglights) Quote Link to comment
robopineapple
i wanted to try something new, only took like five minutes also. just the waiting for it to dry is a little painstaking. i hardly used any of the paint i bought as well, i could do so many sets if i wanted to with that little amount of paint. pretty radical Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Eh, not very yellow looking, bet it will fade. I would go with yellow film every time. 1 Quote Link to comment

TENDRIL
i think its looks pretty yellow but as far it actually having a yellow hue at night i don't think its thick enough, if its more for daylight looks great job! Quote Link to comment
robopineapple
thanks tendril for the positive feed back haha im not to worried about the hue actually being yellow, more for just appearance. we will see though! Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Paint and film were never meant to change the light color. I do like this more than the krylon spray. But to me, painting your lights is to be like the lemans production cars running yellow lights, you should do it like the race cars, film. Actual yellow lights are fog lights. Quote Link to comment
wayno
I did mine with the krylon paint july of 2012, and they look just like when I did them, no fading that I can see, or pealing either. I think it is the easiest way to do it, paint them and install the next day, and I still have enough to do several more sets. Quote Link to comment
DREWSDIME
I used stained glass paint , I think it worked pretty good Quote Link to comment
Suspect
I did these lights with stain glass paint, it was hard to find, couldn't find yellow at the time, tested out with red. Quote Link to comment

robopineapple
i really dont like the way the krylon paint looks to be honest, or at least on the one. they look dusty and cheap. idk haha i love mine even more every time i see them Quote Link to comment
graveltrapp
I have a set of Cibie high beams that are yellow from the factory, when I get them on it is as if the sun came out. They were well worth the $50 or so bucks I payed plus they use standard h4 bulbs and have that cool flat lens like the Hella's have Quote Link to comment
