WTB Orange 510 in San Diego... any insights?

Hello Fellow 510 Fans,

 

I have been looking to get into a 510 and have been watching this particular orange 510 in San Diego on craigslist for some time now.

I have not had the time to check this thing out in person, so I was wondering if I could get the community's insight on this car. Being a car from San Diego, I would think that a number of the members probably know the owner of this car via car shows and meets and may have some additional information about its condition.

 

I wanted some 3rd party opinions before going down to San Diego to take a look and perhaps make an offer. My hesitation is the incomplete wiring, non-running condition, and unable to test drive. If anyone happens know this car, are you aware of its condition when it was running, overall mechanics, interior condition, owner’s care for the car? What would be a fair offer price for a car like this that is not running and unable to test drive to assess mechanics such as engine, suspension, etc.? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

make an offer that includes the cost of a complete rewiring of the car.

 

my guess is that its someones headache...

The one with a S13 SR20 for like $75/7900 or something?  Last time I saw the car and the guy it was running, but that was a looong while ago and I haven't gone to the meets in a looong time either.  I don't remember the interior, but the exterior was good from the last time I saw it.  Sorry I can't help any further and I have no idea why it's not running anymore.
