blackmarkit
I just picked up a 710 coupe to get ready for when I sell my truck. The body's not in very good shape and its been wrecked a few times but its still clean title. 1 Quote Link to comment

blackmarkit
Well I started working on it Saturday. I pulled the fenders and hood to get a better view of the damage. Then I pulled the L20b it had a blown headgasket. I bought a ka24de the day before I bought the car. I chopped the front off so I can do some tube work. I flipped the engine crossmember (710 sets the engine 1" farther back than a 510). I sectioned and offset the trans crossmember and then damaged the gas lenz on my tig. But the engines in and mounted. So I'll be back at it tonight. 1 Quote Link to comment

blackmarkit
I have to finish this one quick. My wife wasn't the biggest fan of me buying another "project." I want to be done in around 2 weeks. Not really done but driving. I wish I would have started a little sooner so I could drive it to datsloco. I should have new pics daily. Quote Link to comment

blackmarkit
The good thing is I purchased almost everything I need the day before I bought the car. Ka24de - motor, trans, ecu, harness Can am- relay board Walbro 255- fuel pump Cxracing 510 to ka aluminum radiator Trying to make this as pain free as possible for my wife. Hopefully I'll get the front tube tacked up tonight and measure the driveline so I can drop it off tomorrow. Quote Link to comment

INDY510
What the F happened to that car over the last 6-8 months??? ...... What's your plan for rear suspension? Quote Link to comment
blackmarkit
Stock suspension. Probably blocks in back and section the stock strut with mr2 inserts. I have 280zx ones but I want to use those on my 1200 coupe. Quote Link to comment
blackmarkit
Matt wouldn't sell it when it looked like that. I tried to trade him but he was in love. Now that it looks like this I got it for $1000 1 Quote Link to comment
blackmarkit
Got a decent amout done tonight. Tacked most of the tube in. Still need to make mounts for everything but its lining up good. And it looks like I can run the mechanical fan. 3 Quote Link to comment
izzo
Very nice job man. Question, what is the tubing welded to up under the fenders there? The rails? Quote Link to comment
Zeusimo
Got A Plate And Cut It To Shape Boxed The Frame Rail Top Tubes Are Tacked To That Plate Quote Link to comment
blackmarkit
Well I didnt get much done last night. I cleaned and painted the transmission crossmember. Put some tabs on for the grill and fender. still need to mount the hood latch and radiator. for those who wants the measurements the 710 engine crossmember is similar to 510 but not the same. The 710 engine crossmember moves the engine back 1" because of the larger engine bay. The transmission crossmember I sectioned and moved the center down .75" and back 1". I'm using the other set of holes for the transmission crossmember on the frame rail. I don't know if its the same for all 710's. Quote Link to comment
