datzenmike
C'non noob. You know what you have and want but you have to communicate to everyone else what's needed. Many parts don't fit all years as they are up graded or modified.Up to '77 there is a 6 plug connector plus two separate wires... one for horn (female connector) and one for the turn signal flasher unit (male connector)From '78 up there is a single 10 pin connector only. norcal werkz
Maybe the one i have isn't original? Mine have 2 separate harness, 10 / 2. That one looks like it's one harness with ten wires and two holes. Link to comment

datzenmike
Yup you're right the other two wires are for the 'flash to pass' option not on the earlier years 1 Link to comment
darrel
What is wrong with your old one? The 2 wire connector is for the passing lights. Link to comment

norcal werkz
The switch is broken. Signal doesn't work, stays on high beam, when i try to signal it feels like I'm going to break it. Even when i pull down harder to signal, it clicks but still doesn't signal. Link to comment
darrel
I reconditioned one from a '79. Clean and lube, worked wonders for an extra one I have. I plan on doing the same to the one in the truck now. Disassembled it, dipped the contacts in vineger overnight, cleaned old grease off and regreased the contact and pivot points. Continuity checked per the factory service manual. Link to comment
norcal werkz
I will try that this week. Thank you for your input. Link to comment
