All this talk and pics about VG30's have me thinking....and that's dangerous. :lol:

 

Seriously, what kind of mileage do you get with all that torque and hp? Include vehicle, tranny, rear end, and tire size.

I just picked up my 2 door at the Canby show and it's great. The 87 200 SX drivetrain gets 25 around town and 27 driving 35 miles each way to Lake Chelan. Not sure of the rear ratio, but around 3:73?

I have been told that the Maxima ECU and throttle body will get good mpg's also and can be had cheap.

Better than an L series motors.

I've also had VG 30 on the mind and with two shells about to arrive at my door step makes me consider fun swaps or pushing my technical abilities.

 

Its nice to know that milaged CAN be good, provided you can keep a light foot.

 

Have to calculated any cost in to doing a complete VG swap?
