hobbes_the_cat
My carbs were running way lean on deceleration too and I tuned it out by adjusting my idle circuit richer. Try that before buying jets. I'm pretty sure the idle circuit is used in part throttle conditions as well as idle so it really affects a lot of drivability issues. Quote Link to comment

This is correct...the main jet plays a relatively small part in "normal" driving. This sounds like a good option before changing jets. But if at idle he already has a rich state then it may not help.... This might help you decide what to change. If you really want to see where you are lean/rich on a bike with multiple carbs perform the WOT test where you run at WOT then cut the engine at WOT without deceleration. Then check your plugs to see which is lean vs right or rich. 1 Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
so thru some moar deep reading, really hard to find info on these carbs i read that i need larger idle jets like f9 60's now is the idle circuit the one used in light throttle/ cruising? Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
it is rich at idle Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
also it runs great at WOT about 13.2 ish has power, no flat spots if i let off slowly to cruise/light throttle it jumps to 17-20 A/F ratio Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
welp i tried to tune out the idle circuit..no dice so i went ahead and ordered some bigger idle jets i just want to make it to oregon without burning up a valve or piston while cruising 700+miles Quote Link to comment
