l16 4-2 exaust manifold differences.

Im really sorry it didn't work out for you had no idea there were 2 different ribbed manifolds... :hmm:

But for the record it came off an l18 w/o smog equipment, I assumed they were all the same since im using a non ribbed l16 manifold mated to an l18 downpipe

Nah man, its in super great shape, its exactly the one you showed me pics of, and you got it here in 3 days... your a bawse, I just didnt know what I was looking for I guess :lol:

Yeah im going to plug them, its just not the same, I want the finned one for the fact it matches the valvecover I have, and several other finned items I have built up for this motor.

So ill still have to get a finned one, just have too.

You can weld the holes shut too, if you want to remove the bosses for the plugs inside the ports. These manifolds are NOT cast iron; they are a good quality cast steel and can be easily MIG welded by a medium-sized machine with ER70-S2 wire. (mild steel wire)

 

Opens up a lot of possibilities if you're handy with a welder...
