KlassicMotion
I've tracked down a set of 15x8 chevy rally wheels. Are there going to be any clearance issues or surprises I will find when I put them on? I haven't read of an y issues, but I want to make sure before I buy these wheels. Thanks Quote Link to comment

laotsu
American Racing slot mags on my truck 14x6 in front and 15x10 in back the rears poke out two to three inches but I kinda like it. 295/50/15 on the rear Quote Link to comment
laotsu
be aware that stock 521 lugs are SAE and not metric Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
be aware that stock 521 lugs are SAE and not metric Be aware that all fasteners are SAE, unless its part of the drivetrain. Well thats how it seems to me, gosh I hate working on 521s. Quote Link to comment
Tucson620
I'm running 15x8 Rallyes, I think with 225/60s (I checked), and like 'em. My truck isn't lowered. Tires are outside the wells a bit at 225, so watch tire sizes if lowered. Poke maybe 1/2" depending on the corner. Steering gets heavy in parking lots with fat rubber. Only pic I have handy: Researched before I got them - there's a few threads out there if you search. Here's a few Ratsun inspiration pics I harvested (not my trucks): Quote Link to comment
laotsu
http://community.ratsun.net/topic/1521-wheeltire-calculator/ use the tire calc Quote Link to comment
Rocket Dog
I like the Miata calculator myself. I have stock tires on one truck and 205x65x15's on the other -- that size will minimize impact on the speedo. Quote Link to comment
datson4life
these both have chevy rallys j Quote Link to comment

KlassicMotion
195/50/15 on 15x8 I love that truck. I've collected some Google porn of it. The offset of those wheels have got to be different than the Chevy Rally's though. All the Chevy Rally's I've seen stick out up to, maybe an inch, just the rim not including sidewall..... No issues with these wheels rubbing I take it? Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Not an inch. Maybe a 1/4 inch. But pretty herrafrush. Quote Link to comment

Rockalot
195/50/15 on 15x8 so the offset on these are a 1/4 inch? Quote Link to comment
KlassicMotion
No......He is saying the Chevy Rally's stick out of the wheel well about a 1/4 inch. Quote Link to comment
Rockalot
No......He is saying the Chevy Rally's stick out of the wheel well about a 1/4 incho. Got it, thought that didn't sound right. Anyone know what the offset on them are? I have everything figured out on my tire/rim purchase cept for the offset. Quote Link to comment
oldskoolvws
Mine are a Toyota offset. I was just showing what the 195/50/15 on 15x8 wheel look like. Mine are about flush with the fender but when I switch my to my Z'd lower control arms, they're about 1/2" shorter. Quote Link to comment

oldskoolvws
Right now none with the exception of one weird driveway angle. But on the road, none at all. Quote Link to comment
Rockalot
"Toyota offset", so that's a fixed number? Quote Link to comment
oldskoolvws
No, the offset is dictated by manufaturer and application. My wheels are uber rare Ray's Power Volks, they were marketed towards the 1st Gen 4Runners which make more friendly to Toyota 6-Lugs. I picked up another set of Ray Powervolks from Dawa, they are an 1" less wide, but stick out about the same because the offest is very similiar. This was the other style option offered. Rockalot
oldskoolvws, I was referring more to an actual number for the off-set. I need to replace my cracked tires so I'm looking to buy a tire/wheel combo and want to get it right the first time. Quote Link to comment
