Just got my 77 B210 Hatchback

I want to install a cd player in it, wondering what kind if any will fit in the dash slot for the radio?

If you cut the knob holes, you can fit most single din decks. Just double check the depth.

To answer your question, I know of no aftermarket cd player that will ever fit in the stock spot. But you could cut it. Or mount the deck beloy the dash.

The biggest I could cut this out is 6" x 1 3/4" s that's not gonna work out

ive had big decks installed in the stock spot, you just cut the plastic face, and the met dash frame untill it fits.

I think I may just put it in the glove box, was just hoping to put it in the dash!!

It will crack the glove box, its to heavy and there is verry little support, if you do, make a braket and mount it directly to the dash frame.

Wish my plastics were in that shape. My center console is broke, as well as the shell around the steering column. Very nice find indeed :)

Just remove the heater control box.  Set it to defrost and only leave the fan on / off switch screwed to the bottom of the dash. then you can tape your cd deck to your heater box.... Oh wait, don't copy my shit

IF    thats a BIG if   ,  you are not fond of your center console.  You can cut the "coin tray" to fit a stereo.  I did it years ago to fit a quite large CB radio.  I'm in the process of forming a new console to accept my stereo.  wanting to stay somewhat stock but yet have the necessities of today.   :thumbup:    Once done I can duplicate them fairly easily.

I thought about the coin tray thing also, I think i can squeeze it between the wiper knob and the cigarette lighter with no room to spare I just have to find the right radio to go in there now. I will hopefully do this this weekend if I can track down a perfect fit.
