HOGIE
Just saw this on craigslist last night. For $500.00 there is likely a lot of good parts. JUst a thought, take a look...... http://salem.craigslist.org/cto/3678998713.html Quote Link to comment
Plumbob
Really just looking for the front axle assembly and steering. I plan on converting it one step at a time and I am going to start with the front axle because my steering and brake components are so worn out. Quote Link to comment
OneFreakyMF
Damn... Just unloaded a Dana 44 that was in the 620 I'm building for my girl. Didn't have discs yet but it could have been a good start for ya... Still have the rear 44 that was in it... Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Anyone in the portland area have or know where to find a front axle (CJ dana 30 with datsun disc)that was used in the Datsun 4x4 conversion? I had one of those, I would really recommend using a Dana 44. Also it would be a good idea to post a wanted ad to the classifieds. Edit: Also a build thread would be another good place to discuss axle options. ;) Quote Link to comment
Boxcar
I have one. I think...... If it hasn't gone to the crusher...... I will check over the weekend. It is a late model disk brake CJ 5 unit / mid steer / Will have no Carrier. 51" width. You'd have to run late model Wagoneer 6 lug rotors. I also have access to a fully trussed and rebuilt 30 from a Scout 2 / 58" width. If you are planning to run the Datsun rear you will run into a gearing issue...... I am running 44's in my 620 , but width is an issue with the 44's . You won't find one in a 50" lay out. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Another option is the early Toyota axle which is a little narrower than the Wagoneer axle. If your trying to keep the width close to stock. Quote Link to comment
