Dim glowing lights

Recommended Posts

So I was driving on the freeway last night doing about 65mph. Then I noticed that my green turn signal arrows started dimly glowing. At first I thought some light was reflecting, but there were no lights around. Then they faded away...then started glowing again.

Anyone else have this?

Only does it when the parking or head lights are on, right? Next time it does that pull over and turn off the lights, I bet they go out.

The running and the turn signals share the same ground at the front or back. If the ground is poor some of the 'juice' will travel up the turn signal filament to the dash indicator and through it to a proper ground at the dash. There isn't enough current to light the turn signal bulb, but enough to light the 5 watt dash indicator. Check the grounds at the rear and front turn signals and freshen them up.
