Draker
I could get one local but it's from Autozone.. and it's $25 more than rockauto. Quote Link to comment
Draker
Alright, done for the night. Still have a few more things to swap over to the L20. Also Denmarkboy has donated a clutch which I'll have to install still... after that I'll get dropped in. Likely little to no work will get done on this tomorrow.. But maybe Sunday. We'll see. Draker
Some clean... some dirty... If I had time I'd make it pretty, but I just want to drive it. 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Intake and exhaust is on.. oil pump has been primed and torqued. Next.. get it off the stand and install the clutch (Thanks Al!) Once the clutch is on, I'm dropping it in. Likely out of time for today though... damn holidays. Quote Link to comment
Draker
text sent ! Hey Al, I might need that throw out bearing and collar if you have it.. Just now got the trans bolted up and... no clutch. Time to clean up and go to bed. Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
Make sure you have the right slave, is yours long or shorty?, there's 2 types. Quote Link to comment
Draker
The collar must match the clutch, that's the issue. I've got the 510 l16 collar on a 620 clutch. Switched from 200mm to 225mm. If that doesn't work, then I'll look at that slave for sure but I've got lots of adjustment in the slave pushrod.. just not enough to make up for the short collar. 1 Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
search my thread about the throw out collars ... its in there ... ratsun is dumb and doesnt show me any threads over a year ago Quote Link to comment
Draker
How to prevent rust from building when storing your parts. (Previous owner) Cleaned up surface Expensive flywheel holding tool. Patent pending... Installed. Orange is faster than bare metal. Ready to set in the bay. Proof you one person can install an engine and stab the tranny while installed in the vehicle. It's a major bitch.. especially when you get to do it twice. The aftermarket motor mounts are too tall I think.. I pulled them out and swapped in the old shorter 510 mounts. They are pretty soft... but I need all the space I can for hood clearance. Draker
Don't worry, after dropping motor by yourself 2x the 3rd will be a breeze!!! Looks good bud This time I'll likely just drop the tranny. Stabbing the engine to the tranny is tough when trying to clear the dust shield/plate over the center link. 1 Quote Link to comment
