Djditty
Does anyone know if the internals of a 320 column shift tranny are the same as the internals of a floor shift? Quote Link to comment

Djditty
Hey Wayno. I have 1st and 2nd but I can't shift into third unless I'm pretty much at a stand still or stopped all together. Quote Link to comment

Djditty
Column shift. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Lots of parts are similar, but the internal and external linkages are different. If it only goes into gears when stopped, the syncros are siezed. Those parts should be the same, but that means taking the transmissions completely down, and you might be able to fix the issue by cleaning up the syncros anyway. Quote Link to comment
Djditty
Excellent! Well not knowing to much about transmissions I may have to take it somewhere to have it cleaned up. Unless you can give me any advice or a service manual that would show that process. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
wayno
I actually have an extra column shift transmission out back, I removed it from a truck at the same place I bought that blue 1964 NL320 from a couple years ago with the 63 grill. I really don't know much about the tranny, the engine was missing out of the truck I pulled if from. Quote Link to comment
