Donations to scan more Datsun manuals

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

A while back I made about 60 manuals available for download at http://datsun510.com/manuals/index.html

Riley from Lynchburg Nissan has donated more and we are expecting shipments from two other community members. We need donations to get these scanned. Each manual cost ~$20 to have the bindings cut and the pages scanned. If you are able to make a donation, I'll do the legwork and add them to the manuals already available. If you cannot contribute, but have old Datsun manuals that you can donate, we'll also take those and work to get them scanned.

There is a donation button on the page or you can email me at derek-at-datsun510.com

Many thanks,

Derek

Hi Derek,

I've seen your site before, very nice work. Do you have an idea what you will be picking up? I've got quite a few scanned in already, and quite a bit more to go through. Although, I've been scanning non-destructively which is quite a bit more labor intensive.

Also I don't know if you've seen this before:

https://code.google.com/p/linear-book-scanner/

It is a non-destructive reusable book scanner released by google. The parts bill is pretty low except for the scan heads.

Dguy, that is an awesome haul. Thanks for the tips on the Google scanner. Would be better, but I just don't have time to scan. Here is a list of what we just received:

1978 510 (missing pages)
1979 510
1974 610
1975 610
1974 710
1975 710
1977 710
1979 810
1976 F10 (missing pages)
1977 F10
1978 F10 (missing pages)
1972 620 pickup
1974 620 pickup (missing pages)
1979 200SX

Any thing you have (or ones of the same without missing pages) would be awesome. After a couple more manual donations in May, I'll be making a master list of missing FSMs and then hunting for them.

Jason, donation received. Thank you very much. Will cover some of the shipping to our scanner in Pt. Magu.

Thanks, Derek
