This totally depends on what you want to do.

Cheap stock type replacement

Easy install

POWER

more economy

something unique and requires lots of fab work

What are your goals and budget?

L20b or KA24e are good engines. CA18DE if you want something a little harder to find and revs higher.

Warp9 electric motor if you want to avoid paying $15 a gallon for gas in two years.

Find a cheap L20.

4 hr install to maybe a day

free KA install?????

1 week to next month to NEVER install.

why???

cut cross member

buy relays

another raditor

torsion bar /exhaust issues

alternator hitting idler arm/ rad hose placement.

finding a KA eleltrical harness and hooking that up

I dont think I have seen a KA 620 beside Jeff Hinos and it still took him a little bit to get that going.Finding a oilpan was a big issue I remember when he was doing it.

Not to mention all the little shit that adds up. Even doing it on the 'cheap' will cost you quite a bit.
