Eagle_Adam
Well the goon went down today too, check the thread four updates But my truck is home and even tho fox towing refused to tow it on the basis that they couldn't guarantee me that they wouldn't scratch my rims, AAA got another co to show up and they got my girl home without even touching my rims! Look ma! Nothing in the rims!! Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
^^^ I'd like that ,,,, but then I'd be liking your truck getting flat-bedded ... so yeah no.... Your truck is looking like a collectible hotwheels toy ... especially the wheelz ... cuz they hawt .... Was it a fusible link on goon ? Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
So tomorrow ill pull the starter and start the diagnosis. Current issues I'd like to take care of: KA oil pump upgrade Redo timing cover gaskets New non cork oil pan gasket Issues: Truck won't start, starter sounds like its just grinding against the flywheel On my way to work I couldn't get it into first gear on the first few tries but then it stopped acting up, but then I hit a size able dip/pothole and lost my ability to accelerate or gain forward momentum. So I coasted into a parking lot I also couldn't shift into any gears once I stopped, but now I can shift into all gears O_o Oh well, not like i do anything else in my spare time anyway right? I mean blue lake isn't too far off ;) Quote Link to comment

converted_to_datsun
If you did the ka swap in the first place instead of pulling the L motor over and over you'd be done and running by now 1 Quote Link to comment

Banner: ya, oil pan gasket didn't take and the timing cover/oil pump gaskets were leaking.. So out it comes - I also wanna check the rear main seal for peace of mind Converted: swapping an L motor is cake at this point, doing a KA swap for the first time is not on my agenda for my DD anytime soon. Micro: preachn man....... It's all too true :D But this shoe maker has 2 bad ass datsuns in his coral and a few more coming :D 1 Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
Tonight was successful tho! Then it was onto the front breaks which seemed to have organic pads on, cus there was soooooooooooooooo much fucking break dust. Thats^^ two weeks of dirt, and I cleaned the fronts at canby So I took the time to do a quick pad slap, clean, and fresh coat of antisieze Good thing I did, they were gross and one of the slide pins was half out and missing a retainer pin 1 Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
Nice ! yanked that out in a blink... Cool cool .. workin ! What kind of pads did you end up with ? I love anti-seize... almost love it too much though ... lol Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
I don't remember to be honest DTP, ceramic ultra quiet from Baxters :/ anything but organic!!!! 1 Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
Oh ya, a few Details... Was missing a starter bolt some how with the other one loose so that's why it wouldn't start The clutch slave was blown so that's why I had gear selection issues The spark plugs were hand tight And the valve cover had two loose bolts...... I swear I know how to do this shit, I think O_o Oh well, teaches me to have 3 or 4 projects at once! At least the one with issues is the one getting replaced later :D Quote Link to comment
