Kyle84
Its already dropped and banging the bump stops! bahahaha. i so would though. maybe i can cut some off the bump stops and lower it some more... On second thought... the step dad knows how to weld! :O Wanyeo.... How exactly did you make those? Don't they tuck the wheel in more at the bottom since the arm is put slightly on top of the other? I can get a set from the JY to test on... did you do top and bottom or just bottom? :) Quote Link to comment
wayno
I overlapped this set about a half an inch, the reason for this is that when you lower the vehicle, the upper control arm balljoint starts to move towards the engine, and how the UCA mount is made, you cannot move the mount out(away) from the engine, so I make the lower arm shorter so I have alignment room. The ones I am using on the 520 are 1 1/2" overlapped on each side for two reasons, to narrow the track so the wheels don't rub on the fenders, and because the upper UCA is at such an angle. See how angled the UCA is, this is bottomed out on the bump stop, and I have about an 1/8" left on the shock before bottomed out. In the photos above and below, I have negative wheel camber. I really cannot go any lower with the suspension without modifying the tierod ends, maybe I could bend them. Quote Link to comment

Kyle84
Yeah. I may just go after drop spindles. Does anyone have any idea what wheels these are or where they came from? Quote Link to comment
Kingman
Dude, your control arms are going the wrong way! Quote Link to comment
wayno
Dude, your control arms are going the wrong way! Are you talking about the fact that they are on upside down? They are on upside down for a reason, they do not bind this way, and they are also reversed, the right is on the left and the left is on the right. I am basically bottomed out in this photo above(sitting on bump stops), as the torsion bars are not tight at this time, the bolts were removed so I could check for travel issues and to make sure the shock did not bottom out. To go any lower, I will have to raise the shock tower, and replace this cross member with one that doesn't hang down below the frame rails, I am just over 2 inches off the ground. 1 Quote Link to comment
Kyle84
Removed my drivers side bump stop I'm the rear. (Pass side was already gone) today. And it made it a little lower. Hahahah. Quote Link to comment

Mr.Dean_Yates
Think 4" would be too much for the rear of my truck? :D My springs are approx 2.5" wide, so these WILL fit. :) :hyper: http://thesuspensionsource.mybigcommerce.com/4-lowering-blocks-w-u-bolts-hardware/ 4" will put you axle to frame. Kyle84
there was about a 1/8" gap between the block and the axle plate at the front side of the axle. on both sides. O.o how in the hell that happened i have no clue. but yeah. Installed my tach and clock. no to find a center console or cut holes in mine to install the factory oil and volt gauges. Kyle84
I'm starting to wonder if this thread should be moved to the project section... lol. Ill let the mods decide that. I should be able to find one at the junkyard, if not ill just cut holes in the datsun plate on mine. :) Quote Link to comment
DeviousPsycho620
The make a plate for the console to house them. Don't go cutting holes in shit. Those plates are hard to find. save it and make a plate out of some plexi or something. Quote Link to comment
Kyle84
afaik the plate is connected to the center console? And there are little plastic tabs holding the "Datsun" in. Well not even really tabs. But.. anyway. lol ill look around for the plate you are taking about to house the gauges. lol. Quote Link to comment
