how many degrees advance is too much advance for l20b engine at idle 750 rpm?

12 BTDC is good.

Probably okay, but you'll start to loose power there. I found most power at 11-13 btdc

and also do i need to ground the matchbox dizzy ?.cus iam running it without ground ritenow.

Need is such a strong word.    Obviously you do not "need" to ground it, but it will work better with a good ground.  

If you look below the distributor, you will see a black wire, under one of the small bolts that go through the head bottom surface into the front cover. This wire goes back to the spade connector by the vacuum advance, to ground the distributor.
