DanielC Posted January 28, 2013 Report Share Posted January 28, 2013 Need is such a strong word. Obviously you do not "need" to ground it, but it will work better with a good ground. If you look below the distributor, you will see a black wire, under one of the small bolts that go through the head bottom surface into the front cover. This wire goes back to the spade connector by the vacuum advance, to ground the distributor. Quote Link to comment
