ggzilla
Yes, they can be rebuilt easily. But do they need it? They don't use tuning needles. They are traditional type carburetors, very similar to Webers. Quote Link to comment
jcd0402
O okay thanks for the info. Quote Link to comment

jcd0402
Also you said the carbs are like webers. but don't weber need to get needles swaped in order to get tunned. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
SU-type carbs use needles for tuning. Regular carburetors use jets. But you probably don't need to re-tune them. If you do, you need to run them as-is to see where to start. Put it on and try it. Adjusting the carburetor is what is always needed. Tuning is mostly needed for modified engines. If it floods out then you know the float is bad or off. ck and clean the jets and just see how it goes. Cant beat 20$ Quote Link to comment
jcd0402
Oooo i feel dum. It's my first time messing around with this type of carbs. So story short if my engine is tuned i need to tune the carbs. But if not i just adjust them? thank you for the info. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
They are like ANY carb. When put on, they must be adjusted. Not necessarily will they need custom tuning. The same goes for stock-type carburetors too. Quote Link to comment
jcd0402
O okay i get it jaja like ny lawn mower carb. haha Quote Link to comment
jcd0402
Yesterday i finished looking at the insides of both carbs. And i have to say the owner stored them up pretty good, they just need some cleening. But all the screws and gaskets are perfect for some more years. Quote Link to comment
