Topher88
Ok as you can see my MC get REALLY close to my down pipe. My question is if I made a wedge that was 1/8-1/4 inche of mettle that would make the MC to angle away from the DP in turn making more room to put a heat sheild, Would that screw up all the geometry of the MC and cause pre mature wear or would it even work at all. Any help or advice would be appropriated. And in retrospect I should have gone with the Wilwood in cabin MC.. Quote Link to comment
D52E
I would speculate that it could potentially casue unusual internal side loading in the master cylinder bore. This could lead to premature failure but I have not actually tried this proposed change to say with any certanty that it would be a problem. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
If it is 1/4" from the pipe, fit a heat shield to protect the master cylinder. Quote Link to comment
D52E
Also, maybe consider thermal wrap on the downpipe? Edit - maybe ceramic coating of downpipe? Quote Link to comment
Dawa
+1 on the heat shield. thatd be super easy to make and add kudos to your bay for having a custom diy heat shield Quote Link to comment
Uber Deaf One
Ceramic coating, wrap AND a heat shield is what I would do. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lee R
Might as well add a blanket on that turbo as well. Quote Link to comment
