It died on the way home last night, got lucky. Knock knock knock from inside the tranny, when I idle in neutral, same story. Push in the clutch, knocking stops. Reverse is notchy and weird. Starts to go back...seizes up for a second, then a pop/bang and it starts rolling again. Forward is fine (for now) except for knock knock. Anyway, sure sounds like tranny time to me. If you're in the Portland area and have a decent tranny, let's make a deal. I prefer the wider ratio 5 speed since I need the lower first for rock crawling, the one with the real tall 5th has a tall 1st as well, that would be problematic for the Deathmobile's preferred activities. thanks!
