maximopoder26
Hi there... I'm getting a new set of rims for my 120Y, and I saw these nice rota shakotan wheels that i would like to get. I was thinking 15x7 0 offset (front), and 15x8 0 offset (rear) I already have the tyres 165/45r15 ..will this work?? Or Should I go with a +4 offset for the rear ones? Thanks.. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
It depends on whether you have a 120Y or have a north america B210 (A14 powered). They have different wheel offsets. Quote Link to comment
maximopoder26
I have a 120Y with 1978 b210 struts, and engine.. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
1978 north american B210 struts have the the large offset which is about 15mm more than the rear. 7" +0 offset will poke out of the bodywork. 8" +0 on the rear will also poke out. So just use fender flares. Quote Link to comment
maximopoder26
on this pic that i found here, theres a b210 that has the same set of rims on it with even bigger tyres, but its a 2 door and i have a 4 door..thats why i thought that it might work on my car, but the description also said that it has 240zx front struts...file://localhost/Users/djsteven12/Downloads/photo-2.JPG.. how much do you think it will poke out? i guess i wont be able to lower it right? ggzilla
240ZX? 280ZX has offset similar to 120Y 240Z has offset similar to A14-powered B210 i think 2-dr sedan & 4-door sedan is same width overall and has the same suspension when stock. 7" wide +0 offset, 280ZX front strut/brake pretty much flush to side of car (will rub depending on the tire size) 8" wide +0 offset will poke out. So will 7" on the front if using the stock B210 suspension. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Yes, those are poking out quite a bit. He's got narrow tires on it, stretched over the wheels so they only rub on bumps. Quote Link to comment
