Headlight Relays in my 521

this is the cheap Chinese harness I have. I had to figure it out but it works,

I also had to de pin the connector cause it wouldnt fit thru the hole using a tweezer. just mark it before you depin it.

other companies sell there harness but I have this one. the H4 type connector and make sure the ground wire is grounded good.

can i just use the trigger wire to power my realy and be done .... no one has answerred my what the jumper question

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

the trigger plug is the oppisite sex as the outer low beam 3 connector plug. that plug should be on the 4 crawlers website show how its done with pitcures to the relay.

Does anybody know what the relay is on the drivers side of a 71- 521 p/u? Is that a horn relay?? Mine has a blue wire w/yellow stripe coming of #3 pin going to the distributor, is that a ground? I just converted my distributor to electronic and the new distributor has a blade coming off of the vacuum advance, is this where the wire goes??

This relay is for switching the second set of retarded points in the dual point distributor.  If you have changed the distributor, transmission, or carburetor, the relay no longer functions.
