REDnGOLD
is this because of cut springs or possibly not having camber plates? My 610 didnt have any camber plates & is dropped on cut springs. i just bought used a pair 510 strut assembly that came w/ calipers & brake pads. Same thing on the pads. Uneven wear. Did the search here but didnt find any thing regarding this. Quote Link to comment
Guest Rick-rat
Look at the 510 brake trouble thread, some of the pads were made that way Quote Link to comment
REDnGOLD
i see. So this is normal or how d pads are built? Quote Link to comment
Guest Rick-rat
I think they are made that way Quote Link to comment
Skib
your not talking about the angle on the individual pad right? Quote Link to comment
Skib
510 pads are angled out of the box Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
Akebono built Lockheed disc brakes pivot about the corner pin on the plate. They don't slide horizontally so are initially wedge shaped. When the brake backing plates are parallel to each other it's time to change the pads. Quote Link to comment
