brake pads wore uneven

is this because of cut springs or possibly not having camber plates? My 610 didnt have any camber plates & is dropped on cut springs.

i just bought used a pair 510 strut assembly that came w/ calipers & brake pads. Same thing on the pads. Uneven wear.

 

 

 

Did the search here but didnt find any thing regarding this.

Look at the 510 brake trouble thread, some of the pads were made that way

510 pads are angled out of the box

Akebono built Lockheed disc brakes pivot about the corner pin on the plate. They don't slide horizontally so are initially wedge shaped. When the brake backing plates are parallel to each other it's time to change the pads.

Yes, those look practically brand new.

My '74 710 has those also. '75 they changed to what you would call normal pads.

yep. i saw d link after RickRat posted. Finally got my suspension & brakes done...... However, a new set of problem arrised. I now have overheating prob after the car has been down for 2months. May also need to replace battery

Dam!! i cant seem to get a brake. Get it? BRAKE. hehehe

i meant break.
