datzenmike
Pull it from another 5 speed. There must be another laying around somewhere that's been scrapped. The 5th gears are all pretty much the same and 26 tooth? on the mainshaft and 44 tooth on the countershaft? Can't see how a tooth would get chipped as they are in constant mesh unless there's something loose floating around in the box. The output ratio is a combination of the 26/44 tooth (0.591) and the input/counter drive ratios Link to comment
620GRX
thanks for the info the guy at the trans shop gave me the wrong info didn't think of Nissan . after cleaning the only thing i can think of is that it was opened and maybe dropped. i got that tranny in 2008 never had any problems with it not even a leak . so i have no idea. just was driving heard a pop then she was done.. i'll check with Nissan of Bakersfield in the morning. thanks again. bert Link to comment
ggzilla
Unless you know which vehicle the transmission originally came out of, most Nissan partsmans won't be able to find the part. But maybe NoB is better than average. Link to comment
