datzenmike
No that's in the 4dr sedan for now but they will prolly end up in the 2 dr, just set them in to size up, and make adapter plates. Is the dogleg not a 31" trans also? No. All North American delivered cars that had doglegs were all 26" long. There are the odd 31.5" doglegs around, but these came bolted to import L series engines from Japan back in the '80s and maybe as late as the '90s. Same as the dual Hitachi SUs and intakes, probably all the close chamber heads as well. Quote Link to comment
fritzdixxon
So a dogleg will be the right fit for my wagon cause it has the 4 spd, they are 26 1/2 " are they not? Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
Yes, but you'll need the A10 dogleg crossmember, as the rear mountpoint is in a different place. And the rubber isolator (trans mount itself) as well. Quote Link to comment
fritzdixxon
So fab a cross member lol. Did the coupes come with a dogleg or regular 5spd? Would a 200sx cross member work? Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I have a dogleg mount. But I'm sure shipping would suck ass. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
All North American coupes used the 63A Dogleg if it had a 5-speed. The 71B manual was never used in an A10. The 200SX one likely won't be exact. Nissan habitually made chassis parts just different enough that they don't work model to model, though there are exceptions. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
You said earlier you have the line on a 620 5 speed. Get that. Why you would want a dogleg is beyond me. The 620 trans is way stronger than the 63A. I think I have read that the 620 5 speeds were the same as the 280z, not late zx. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I say that but totally plan on putting a dogleg in my 521. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
It's all about whether you want to cut your floor/trans tunnel up to install a 71B, or leave it all original for the dogleg. The 63A is barely sufficient for a stock L20B. In a car. Quote Link to comment
fritzdixxon
I have a dogleg mount. But I'm sure shipping would suck ass. Right now it is a non issue, the 620 box will go in the sedan in the spring and the wagons bodywork will be my focus for the Summer. But that being said I am deff interested if I find a D/l (and your wife dosen't misplace the cross member lol). Currently information is all I plan on collecting until next year. flatcat19
Ooo. Ouch. It was a mistake to trash talk my wife online. Whatever happened to my parts, they were misplaced with no one to blame. Shit happens. Honestly though, I have no clue what the mount came off of or what car this transmission was in. All I know it was mountedbto the dogleg when I bought it. Quote Link to comment
fritzdixxon
No trash talking just commenting on your post blamming her, I own a moving company and know all to well the stresses people go through when moving, just some lulz is all. 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I know. I know. Just my way of apologizing. She hopped on the internet, when she heard the mirror was MIA, to try to find me a new mirror. Guess what the first search result was. Yep, my post. What a dick. 1 Quote Link to comment

fritzdixxon
Unless they are Ozzy/jdm small bumpers, really a north american bumper may have just took out the legs and sent the deer up the hood to the windshield, at least the rareest part of the car is safe Quote Link to comment
