dat280z
Hello everyone! Here is my little story about my 280Z. It all started about one year ago... I was looking for a 280z on craigslist, and I found a $800 1978 280Z. Right away I e-mailed the person and waited for days until he called me back. Went to look at it and I was not pleased with the condition that it was in. It was seriously dug into the ground with grass almost covering the car, didn't start, rusty, broken windshield, etc, so I said no thanks to it. After that, I bought an RX-7 FC that I'm still working on lol. Anyways, about two months ago, I found another 1978 280Z on craigslist for $500 and it ran! So went to look at it, and I was shocked. The kid bought the same car that I was going to buy a year ago and got it running. This time, I can see all the defects, so I offered him $250 and he agreed. Towed it home because it would of been scary driving with a hole on the floor and a bad MAF. About a week later, I picked up rust free doors, windshield, MAF, and 16X10 (F0, R-27 offsets) Diamond Racing wheels, all for $275 local. Now, here I am posting on RATSUN, keep an eye out for my build thread :) -Antonio Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Good on ya. There's always a better deal around the corner. I saw an orange Z at the quik-mart along Hwy 72 between the turnoff for Burnsville and the high school Quote Link to comment
dat280z
I know right? I just can't believe that it's the same car that I was going to buy a while back. I forgot to mention that I did a compression test, and they were off by 9PSI :) hhmmm Burnsville, Minnesota? Quote Link to comment
