bloodontheapex
So, as I've stated before, I would like to adapt my L24E to Su carbs. Instead of cutting and tucking my wiring, I'd like to run a Z harness. I think it'll make for a more clean look in the bay. A 260z harness has become available for free + shipping, quite the deal. Question: It seems that my engine harness originates from a wiring junction under a black plastic over on the passenger side fender. Is this the case for the 260z? Would the 260z harness provide a ready-made carb harness for my car? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Is there anything electric on the SU carbs????? Quote Link to comment
bloodontheapex
Is there anything electric on the SU carbs????? No, of course not. As I said in the first post, instead of cutting and tucking the EFI harness, I'd like to run a harness that never had the EFI section. What's wrong with that? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
What is wrong it that you said "carb harness" -- but there is no carb harness. Did you mean "engine harness"? Quote Link to comment

Okay, okay. I didn't know this would boil down to syntax. An engine harness for a car originally equipped with carbs. Quote Link to comment
H5WAGON
Time to break out some wiring diagrams.... It's not going to be plug/n/play. Quote Link to comment
I'm BLUE
(1) Install your su's and su choke cables (especially for winter) (2) Install an e12-80 EI "matchbox" distributor. (If not already installed) You're making this much harder on yourself than it really has to be :) What year is your 810 ? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Good point. The Matchbox doesn't need a different harness, it only uses 2 wires. After you get it done, then consider how (or if) you want to "clean up" the wiring. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Only the much later '83- Maxima got the E12-93 matchbox. The 810 should be fine. Quote Link to comment
