The car currently has the A12 running on the stock Hitachi and I have the 15 on my stand. I am open to either. Let me know what you have and for how much. May have trade items so let me know if you need anything.

ggzilla Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 A12 twin-carb factory manifold won't fit a regular A12 cylinder head. It's even too big for A15. A14 twin-carb factory manifold matches the stock A14/A15 oval ports. But if your A15 has the round port head, it won't fit. And if it is an 1981-1982 A15 it will have the small ovals (will fit but have a port mismatch). The A14 manifold has 4-bolt carb flange, which will fit 1.5" SUs and 38mm Hitachi 2-bolters both. The manifolds will accomodate SU SJF carbs or Datsun SU-type carbs (except 240Z/260Z carbs). 32mm tall oval ports are 1981-1982 swirl port heads i think GX manifold has 36mm ports

I don't get it, but the photos above are of an oval port head, even though it looks kinda like a round port.

graveltrapp Posted December 24, 2012 Author Report Posted December 24, 2012 Looks like the head is 38mm and intake manifold is/was 32mm. Not quite a match made in heaven or where ever these kinds of things hookup, but this is what currently sits on the bench.
