whitey01
1971 Datsun Motor HomeHouse on wheelsCurrent registrationCheap to registerSan Francisco (East Bay)$2,500The buyer will have to go to the AAA office or DMV with me and I will pay all California fees in current registration through January 2014.The reason for going to AAA or DMV is when I was younger, my father donated a car and it was involved in an accident and he was sued and had to hire an attorney to get out of it.Also, I had a friend selling a car and the buyer filled out the buyer's info on the pink and filled out the information wrong and friend started receiving many tickets on the car that he sold. He gave the DMV a copy of the certificate of selling and the info was filled out wrong and was one big mess.If unwilling to go to DMV with me, no sale. wayno
I think if you did that the back of the cab would be open... 1971 521 motor homes were made differant, the cab is not connected to the back, there is no access, unless it's a custom setup. Basicly they are like a permanent camper, as a big truck can haul a big camper, a little truck can also, but it would not be very big, so there is no box, and then it is big also. This was a 1970 motorhome at one time, I helped cut it up, now it is a 1970 datsun diesel dually flatbed. 1 Link to comment

wayno
Wayno, I am confused can i put a 521 bed on my motor home fairly easy!! Not sure about that, you must understand that they likely cut and extended the frame for the mobile home/camper part, so the frame is likely longer than a stock frame now. it's easy enough to make a flatbed like my friend down the street did, as it does not have a fender well that needs to be centered on the rear wheel, but a 520/521 box has to have the rear wheel centered in the fender well. If you had two 521 boxes, you could likely cut them both and weld them together in such a way to make one long box 521, but that will take some work/welding. stock frame is 99.6 inches/2530mm between the front wheel and back wheel center to center, if yours is longer, then the frame has been extended.
