ggzilla
* throttle cable incorrectly positioned (throttles are not closing all the way) or * fast idle incorrectly set (should be 2400 RPM) or * Air leak Quote Link to comment
Busta Nut
Is it always at 4k after it starts?...or does the idle drop down? Quote Link to comment

Anybody have suggestions? If you are new to carbs with chokes, the fast idle can seem high. I don't know anyone who can accurately tell the RPMs by just the sound. It's possible that everything is operating normally. Usually the fast idle is 1,800 to 2,300 RPMs. Quote Link to comment
