Get rid of that old cracked rubber that connects your filler neck to the body.

Convert to stainless and last a lifetime.

Would you consider building it to take a modern threaded cap? Say 240SX?

 

Also, how are you going to get it to seal? That factory rubber bit on the top you replaced with metal goes outside the car, not inside. Thinking if you welded the filler cap hole to the top of this tube, no worries about sealing.

A piece of 1/4" urethane between the filler neck and body and a 1/8" piece of urethane between the body and the existing cap.

Yes look into using 240sx cap area this will allow to use gas pump and not worry about getting gas on the side of your car.

Would this work. It would use a Harley gas cap. I think I would sell this sepertate for those who want to convert. That way everyone who doesn't need the filler neck could still convert to a newer gas cap. There are tons of aftermarket and different style caps available for those who want that custom look. What do you think.

I would love to use the 240sx cap but unless I can find aftermarket support for the bung it would be very expensive. I'm trying to see if any friends could try a 240sx cap in a Harley. With so many people making Harley tanks, bungs and cap are plentiful.
