the raw steel merchants had been crushing what ever in their ways the last 30y ( sending to Iron Steel factory ) 200$ to 300$ per ton

they crusehd the Zs the Ks the 510s the 520s 21s etc., no care, and they dont listen to us when we tell them , dont crush this dont crush that , it is a ...................................................., they listen upto the letter ( a ) then they continue their (( work ))

 

so I decided to collect at least 10 ( 521s ) to use them as a feeder to the resto. projects that I just I imagine to be done next 5 to 10 years

 

up to now I collected 3 ( 7 more still searching )

 

 

I paid 800$ for that super rusty J13 engine

 

 

1100$ for the J15 engine

 

 

800$ for that J15

We have a cash for clunkers too. I tell people that the money for them won't make much difference in a few years but the car's parts could keep another one alive. It's a conspiracy to rid us of old car/parts so we have to buy new ones.

Cash For Clunkers did NOT take any classic Datsuns, but only cars newer than 1984.

 

$300/ton is what wrecking yards were paying for any car.

I miss spoke C for C may have been a US thing. Here there were drives to encourage people to bring in anything (any condition, even towed in) and get $2000 off a new car. Some were straight cash settlements.

This is a 4 headlight datsun 520, likely a 67 or 68.

We have lots of these over here, not as big of a following as the 521, but there are a lot more 521s over here than the 520.
