sdsurf
Will this fit? I am referring to a dual master cylinder. Looks like bolt in but what about the extension to the pedal. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Back in the mid '70s I put a dual on my Datsun. Now that I think about it, it might have been my 68 510 and not my 521. They are so similar. Anyway it originally was a single m/c. The dual came out of a 620 (I think) and bolted right in. All I had to do was separate the front from the back system. The one problem was the flared line ends did match the m/c fittings. The car ones were bubble and the m/c was reverse flare. I can't believe I did this but I used a file to re-shape them so they fit and sealed without leaking. Unknown to me, at the time, the m/c was from a '78 with front discs so everything worked OK. If it fits the firewall you should be able to make it work. The push rod is adjustable? Only concern is the flare, maybe. It worked fine, no difference in braking, but It was a lot safer with two separate brake systems on the car. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
this is my thought. most 521s use one line the 510 uses 2 and goes to the break out thingy. so youll have to add that. I notice from my 521 to 510 they use different threads on the lugs brake blled is 11mm while the 510 is 10mm New masters are about 50$ Quote Link to comment
