IneedHelp Posted October 11, 2012 Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 I've got a 1980 DAtsun 510 Wagon. I replaced the stock Hitachi carb with a Weber 32/36 DGEV, and I cant seem to figure out how to hook up the electric choke. the stock carb has a 3 pronged male connector with 3 wires wired to the carb. What do i need to do to get the stock connector to work with the Weber? Quote Link to comment

izzo Posted October 11, 2012 Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 you know, you can get a light tester for 3 dollars at any auto parts store or hardware store, and test the wires with key on, and key off. It will be pretty apparent what one has power with key on... Hook that up. Some people just run a wire from the elec-choke to the positive on the coil. Either way works. Quote Link to comment
