My mom had a 75 LTD like this. Sumbitch would lay rubber for a 100 feet. One wheel peel but damn it was fun!!!

no convertibles were offered in the 66 or 67 Nova body, just 2 drs, 4 drs and wagons.

Those are leaf spring live axles out back, ya know. I have always wanted to convert one to RWD using Datsun bits...

These were basically rebadged Ford Sierras from Europe. 👍

 

Ford wanted a more "European" sounding name for these cars they imported from their European division so they called them Merkur, which was basically the German spelling of Mercury...  😄

 

They made some pretty badass versions in the UK that I lust over...
