a.d._510_n_ok
now that's different and it all works together. they resisted the current trend of welding in hooded '55 Chevy front fender crowns and frenched the headlights instead. I wouldn't have thought the Corvette coves would look good on that body but they do. they went with the smaller '53 Oldsmobile flipper caps instead of those ungainly and played out '56 Olds units. it's been nosed and decked but not chopped and they even refrained from shaving the door handles + left the chrome scratch guards. that's real close to how a custom car enthusiast with good ideas but a limited budget would have built it about 1956. it took a lot of thought to build something so subtle as that! 3 Quote Link to comment

Dguy210
Saw this in front of Alameda Brewery. Surprisingly, before this a repainted red 521 with a canopy rolled pass with both guys in the truck checking it out but I didn't get a pic. Quote Link to comment

a.d._510_n_ok
I tried to get a better pic of this car but traffic wasn't cooperating All three are Citroën "Traction Avant", literally "front wheel drive" in French. Made from the 1930s into the 1950s with not many changes though the black and white show cars have some parking light and chrome variations that suggest they are different year models. Never saw one in person. Y'all get the cool stuff in Cali. 2 Quote Link to comment
Cleopatra Jones
I never got to see it from the front so I couldn't make that connection. Cool to know what it is. Quote Link to comment

Cleopatra Jones
Went to get Stanley a new car cover and the kid that works at the store had this beautiful Bel-Air. It's a work in progress. I was impressed he knew what a Datsun was. He's still in high school. We were admiring each other's car. It has a tissue box holder I like the window vent has a little sliding lock and a window crank. 3 Quote Link to comment
KELMO
Work in progress ppppffffft, I may as well give up cuz I would call that just about done. Quote Link to comment
Cleopatra Jones
Ha! Well, he was missing quite a bit of the headliner and what was left was ripped. The place he had it painted did a shit job and the paint actually bubbled pretty badly on the driver side door and the hood. He wants it painted inside and out. But really it was in beautiful condition other than that. He's like I am about my car...wants it perfect. He's off to a good start. He's doing quite a bit of work himself. He had just finished rewiring it. Quote Link to comment
