datsunfreak
A pair of '57 Nomads in Denton TX. FYI the ratty one is not actually a "Nomad". It looks to be a regular 210 wagon. You can really see the difference in this photo. The roofline, quarter glass shape, tailgate, etc. are all different. 3 Quote Link to comment

KiloTango1200
FYI the ratty one is not actually a "Nomad". It looks to be a regular 210 wagon. You can really see the difference in this photo. The roofline, quarter glass shape, tailgate, etc. are all different. I thought that they looked different but I am not that familiar with old Chevy's. Good catch. I was distracted about the tailgate because the "ratty one" had an antique outboard boat motor mounted to the rear bumper. It is obvious in this picture. Quote Link to comment
a.d._510_n_ok
the rat rod '57 is actually a "150" model aka cheapest Chevy you could buy that year. they used side trim very much like a '55 210. from 1955-57 the Bel-Air was your most expensive Chevrolet car, 210s were next, and 150s were the least expensive. also from 1955-57 a "Delray" trim packagefor 210s appeared. it was a fancy vinyl interior sold without badging. in 1958 (and only 1958) the name "Delray" appeared on a car as a named model in chrome script. '58 was also the final year for Delrays. in '57 Chevrolet produced a very limited number of "Black Widow" race cars based on 150 "business coupes/utility sedans" (two doors built at the factory without back seats and designed for use by traveling salesmen to haul their wares) equipped with 283 V8s (new that year) and Rochester mechanical fuel injection (also new that year). on the 150s the fuel injection emblems were mounted on the rear quarters. 2 Quote Link to comment
