Aibast
i think maybe the USA 620 is only a half ton? (lighter springs?) 78 service manual gives the US market car pay load of 500kg, I have pay load marked 1090kg in here. Vehicles max weight is 2330kg. I think you are right about US cars having smaller payload than the european ones. Don't know about the rear springs. I've had over 750kg in the box and still didn't bottom out the suspention. It sat more or less level. I have 4 leafs and the manual shows it has 4 leafs in there. Maby the thickness is different? Quote Link to comment
Willdatsun
I am not sure. Maybe the American Goverment didn't want Datsun to steal too much market share from the domestic makes so they made them sell as half ton :) Yes thats a 521 :) I have a couple of them. Quote Link to comment
Aibast
You should make some kind of protective mesh or something behing the cad to stop things hitting the rear windscreen. Quote Link to comment
datsun_only
Indeed it is a bit small, its just what I had kicking about. Yes we are not allowed to run red turn signals in this country. We have some other laws too such as cars after 79 have to have a rear fog lamp too. Takin' the dawgies for a ride. Nice ride. Quote Link to comment

gene knight
nice work. I have 3 521 trucks and now I have a 77 Datsun 620 king cab with the same burnt mustard yellow. I plan on repainting it a different color cuz I don't care for that color Quote Link to comment
Willdatsun
I think the colour looks ok (its unusual) when it is very shiny but it looks terrible when it has faded Quote Link to comment
