BEEBANI
Well, it has been brought to my attention today that some of you have never torn a standard datsun tranny apart before. I had the pleasure of tearing mine down last spring, so I thought I'd post some pics: Here's what you should start with: Pull the cover off inside of the bellhousing: Unbolt the bellhousing from the center section, this is what holds all of your gear assemblies. tangent
So are ya tearing down your tranny on company time, or are you just so lucky to have that huge space to work in??? Are we going to get some good shots of the Nap Z tranny when you take the bellhousing off of it? Quote Link to comment
BEEBANI
My dad owns the company that I work for, it was on a weekend. I posted this to help Jovial Cynic understand how to get me the bellhousing I need from the napz tranny that he has. Quote Link to comment
tangent
could you get some good shots of the tube goes from the front to the tail housing of the tranny..Its ment to dump gear oil into the tail-section, down that channel to the back where the tailshaft exits, and basicly makes a bearing of sorts, floating the tailshaft on a cushion of gear oil..
