MSD 6Al hook up

Ok i googled it and got various ways to hook it up,I got the new 6al with all the wires going out one way it seems straight forward but not sure.

 

Big red goes to 12 volt

big black goes to good ground

grey is for tach

black/orange goes to positive and negative of coil

Small red goes to switched 12 volt or ignition

white says it goes to ignitor

 

So is it that simple or do you have to disconnect the igniter on the side of the dist,thats were i get confused,Also i know alot of people dont like them i bought its in my truck i like wasting money.thanks

if u have matchbox dist. u remove ign module and wire straight to msd, as dist is used just as a switch for msd. to be safe, stash matchbox module in glovebox for a spare.
