So I've looked this up a few times now bur I thought I'd ask here.

So I realized I don't have a DE power transistor 'mounted to the coil'

Looks like so.

So I went over to rockauto and went to 93 240sx bluh bluh power transistor and there it was... 75$.. I noticed they had a few part numbers and from what I think I found is that my ka24e power transistor thingy should work..

Question is has someone had to deal with this that may know if my old one will in fact work..

I have a problem.. but I don't know how bad it is..

I guess I was driving around a litte while like this.

Cleary I need a new cover.. but do I also need a new transmission because of the wear on the shaft???

I'm in a pickle.. I don't think I'll find another cover.

Pictures so you follow what the fuck I'm talking about. Ugh..

There are way too many pages to go thru to find out what transmission it is, and what year the transmission is.

If it is a 720 short shaft type you will need a cover for the big bearing, if long shaft, need to know the year, somewhere around 1984 the cluster gear bearing got larger.

The issue for me is I don't even recall what engine is in this anymore.

If the fluid in the transmission is a good color, just replace the cover, if it has metal on the magnet or is silver, replace the transmission.
