510antihero
Alright so I'm looking to replace the factory carburetor on my 510. And I'm wanting to get one that will improve the cars performance. So after looking around online I've found two different carb conversion kits. The Traditional Weber that most people upgrade to http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/product_p/wk663.htm Or what about this Holley? http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Holley-List-0-9228-2bbl-1975-78-Datsun-L20-B-2-0L-280cfm-Model-5200-9228-/300734699246?hash=item46052f56ee&item=300734699246&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr#ht_500wt_862 My car is a 1978 510 with the all stock l20b and a 3 speed automatic tranny. So which carb do you guys think would be better? Thanks Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Depends on which one has wear on it. Both the Holley and the Weber are slightly smaller than the stock carburetor. I would jet the stocker a few sizes richer. But if your stocker has worn throttle shafts, then the Weber and the Holley are the same (Holley 5200 is a licensed version of the Weber DGV).
