datzenmike
You know back in the day I had a set of those spark plugs with 4 ground electrodes on them and they would increase my mileage by 25%. It also had these magnets that you tape to the fuel line and the magnetism would re-align the fuel molecules and they would burn cleaner and give 35% fuel savings. There was also a rubber hose that connected to the points distributor that sucked up the ozone from the electrical sparks and fed into the intake for another 35% fuel increase. I have one of those Turbonators that spin the air as it enters the carb and it increases mileage by 15%. I was going to make one of those HHO generators but as it is I have to stop and empty my fuel tank at least once a week or it will overflow. 1 Quote Link to comment
Guest Rick-rat
What are you really trying to say, Mike? You didn't mention the incredible gain in HP with all that great stuff. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Ha ha been saving that one for 50 years. I have no idea what a Jacob's mileage master is but sure sounds like snake oil. A vacuum gauge is a good mileage increaser. It varies with load or how much you are stepping on the gas. Just keep the vacuum above 12 inches of Hg. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The 4-electrode plugs were fitted by Datsun as factory equipment. They worked very well, and lasted longer than normal plugs. But they did not increase the fuel economy. I also had an "econo-gauge" on my mopar but that did not increase my fuel economy. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Mileage master is mainly an add-on electronic ignition system. Any EI system can save gas over a mis-adjusted point system. Quote Link to comment
