What fuel pump did you use. I couldn't find an external pump of that size that would put out the proper pressure. Good seeing more swapped Datsuns on the road, and I applaud your jumping right in, but I would have spent more time cleaning things up. Going back to do things over is so much more difficult and time consuming than you realize when you are in the midst of the project. I will keep my eyes peeled on this one. Good job.

I used a Airtex E2000 external fuel pump recommended by ]2eDeYe.... Works great so far ... Yea unfortunately I had a lot of the wiring cleaned up, but ran into a lot of wiring issues.... I will get around to cleaning it up... Want to get it I'm the road ASAP!!!

I've been through so many of these threads looking for specific and definitive info on that center link. I thought I had seen before that the goforit product was wrong, but I'm glad to find out otherwise. I'm using the same motor, bout halfway there I guess. Just waiting to hear back about the motor mounts and can/am. Anyway, this was an amazingly useful thread

Thanks a lot.

Gofreit fittings are wrong. Unless i was sent the wrong ones. They fit a CJ jeep, so i ended up making a custom drag link for an offroad vehicle for about $120ish, that thing is solid. You can make the Gogreit fittings fit, but i didn't feel safe having my balljoints wiggle in the links - LOL.

sorry for lagging so much everyone... Life has kind of stalled a bunch on projects that I was focused on... Here to answer a few questions and upload some oics:

@southern620 never got around to putting the manifold in... there will be some modification to the bends since there isnt much room on that side of the engine, but its is very possible with some fabircation, might just try a log style manifold... thatll be in future plans

@620soldier thanks for the comments!! glad the thread helped someone out, i know if i didnt have a bunch of the forum member i would have never got this project done... as for the goferit inserts they worked out for me...so far so good....

@mantas and @chebetio510 the inserts worked fine for me i took a couple pics below if you need parts numbers ill try to get them and post here....

Mine looked exactly like that. Thanks for posting those, but when i moved them in the arms there was a little bit of play, which i was not happy about. Either way i got a really beefy offroad drang link made which gave me a peace of mind. And your pics really gave me a peace of mine because i was worried about my gear arm being that far out, but since yours is the same way i'm good to go! Great build thread by the way, it was yours and a few others that i used for reference to get my KA in.

Im wondering....how are your fuel lines routed? My feed comes from the bottom of the tank and goes to a filter and then the pump etc. my return feeds into the vent tank and the vent tank routes back to the top of the tank. Seems like im not getting enough fuel and wondering if its time to pull out the fuel tank for a cleaning or if i got some of the lines hooked up incorrectly.

Did a little work yesterday to the KA.

Transmission, Clutch plate, Throwout bearing & Clutch (Things look good, newish plate and clutch, so I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna replace these parts, more money for other things!)

Thats it for now.. Slowly but surely with the progress, still waiting on Icehouse to get less busy, to get one of his CanAm boxes....

I been scoping out your build, and am wondering how well your transmission bolted up? I am trying the same configuration. Were you able to bolt the tranny to the motor before dropping it down in as well? These are a couple of my concerns now that I have the engine and trans.
