well im going to start a project i hope i can do this its a 71 datsun 521 i just pulled out the old l16 going to swap it out with a sr20det wish me luck

well hear are some of the parts i just got in the mail :ninja:

 

i cut out some of the metal to fit the intercooler and radiator

 

here is the intercooler in the front gril

tomorow i start installing the sr20det redtop :devil: :devil: :devil: :devil: i will post pics of the redtop later on

I dropped in the tranny and cut inside the cab to make it fit.

 

 

Welded a custom tranny mount

 

This is how it fit ( I used the L16 motor mount for the transmission )

 

Installed inter cooler piping

 

Installed the motor to the transmission and motor mounts and the radiator all I need is the wiring and turbo set up (only get to work on it on weekends cause of work, but will keep you updated)!

thanx man i still have a lot of work its bin grate building this with my dad let the good times roll im 30 and i can say my father is who i look up to the most :thumbup:

Rad. I thought you would have to cut more out then that. I want to keep the factory bench seat so I was going to work out a column shift for an auto in my truck. Good job man.

thanx man thers a bench seat with a cutout for a 5 speed out of a toyota truck im just going to add vw low bucket seats

yea u do have to cut it out the tunnel was to small for the tranny think the 620 clears it
