Was going to run 195/50 tire

I was test fitting a VTO 15x7 +18 and had like 1/8" between the rim and 280ZX strut tube.

With a 195 Tire, coilovers set above the tire and short springs the +18 works on a 280ZX strut, but a +20 is going to need a thin spacer.

Being new to the ratsun, never had to think much about offset. Currently have 14 inches of steel on it, but would like to get 15s, will15x6 fit with stock suspension without rolling the fenders? with what range of offset? What about if I ever get the 280zx struts, how much does it lower the front?

I have 15x7s on my car +25mm offset with a spacer that brings them to +21mm... running a 205/50 tire they fit fine up front with some roll and tug on the funders (minimal tug) and plenty of space in the back on my wagon

Fancy,

15x6 +24 offset using 195/50-15 tires will fit fine w/o rolling the fenders. If you go to 280ZX struts you'll need to add a thin spacer to clear the strut tubes.

That's the exact size of my Rotas. Fit great front and rear. Front fenders slightly rolled. I have 510 struts. I did add a 1/8" spacer when I put my RCAs on because the tie rods were really close to the rims. Spacers solved it. I have 175/55/15 tires for a little more room. Drove it to Vegas and back to Salt Lake at this height.

Thanks Dave...and don't mean to hijack the post with my newb questions...but hear I go :)

So with +24 offset...is that pretty tight? meaning not much wiggle room on strut or fender side, or is there a bit of range and is it more about appearance at that point? Also, since you all talking about the 15x7...saw those 15x7 with 0 offset, are these pretty much not doable unless you have fender flares?

As always, thanks for the info and patience!

The strut side is tight with stock struts, but works. The fender side is fine at all but the lowest ride heights and then it is only during near lock turns that it may hit.

Rota RB +25mm with stock struts will fit. 195/45/15 nexens tires from tires ez.com will fit EZ.

if you get coil overs on 510 struts you have to keep the perch above the tire and get a 7 inch tall spring.

15x7 0 offset will fit the rear just fine but you will need negative offset or spacers on the zx fronts. I have 15x6.5 +17 in the front on my zx set up and have less than 1/8 clearance on the tire to the strut tube.

What zero offset 510 rear just fine ? have you done this ? really need wimp tires to fit those zero's , need min. 10mm offset to get rims in fenders 20mm rear even better I want 205s or even 195s .not smaller crap tires.

I'm running 195/50-15 tires and the fender lips have been rolled. If the inner lips of your fenders are not rolled they will not fit.

A friend of mine has 15x8 but they poke out. I also run 15x8's but that car is flared.

How would 0 offset, compare to +10?

means wheels are pulled in 10mm on each side.

in all my research, 7.5" wide rims with +15 offset would be pretty close to the max width you can get on the rear of a coupe without rolling or any clearance work to the suspension on a 15" rim. i haven't tried it myself and have had no luck in finding a pair like that in over 10 years of looking... but that is about what i guesstimate based on my calculations. i did see a pair on ebay once and got outbid at the last second... boo hoo. if i could find a pair or the parts for my 3-pc wheels, it would almost feel like finding the holy grail for me.

On a +10, the outside edge of the rim is 10mm closer to the hub than on a +0.

I just picked up a 78 a10 wagon and haven’t decided what to do for suspension yet but have some 15x8 from an unknown Datsun. What size tires would you guess might fit best without needing to mod anything ? Don’t have to be tight fitting either. I live in a city with very shitty roads lol.
