ggzilla
nice work. 610 anti-sway bar will probably fit, but might be the same thickness Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Since I don't recall seeing these pics in this build thread, here's pics of the original build on the car back in the early 80s: http://forums.24hour...ic.php?id=18659 Quote Link to comment
king bee66
ive been curious about the s10 sway bars, according to the wikipedia artical it has the same wheel base as the b210 and also shares the same platform. ive never seen one in person to measure. and also i have to clue what kind of sump it has Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
ive never seen one in person to measure. and also i have to clue what kind of sump it has Betting it's front sump. I know the L20b in the '77-79 510 is front sump. That sway bar may work. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
610 anti-sway bar will probably fit, but might be the same thickness The 610 doesn't use a front sump oil pan. Any particular reason you think it'll work? It looks identical to the B210 sway bar to me? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, B210 and 610 are using the same suspension according to the Datsun Bulletin. And most parts seem to interchange. B210 sway-bar fits in front of engine, so it doesn't matter about the sump. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
B210 sway-bar fits in front of engine, so it doesn't matter about the sump. It does with a KA. ;) The stock 610/B210 sway bars won't clear the KA's front sump pan. There's a slim chance an S10/HL-A10 sway bar might since it came with a front sump pan, unlike the 610 and B210. But the KA24E front sump pan is at least an 1" longer at the front, so... I still need to test this but on the mockup at the JY it looks like a 1200 swaybar will fit the B210 and clear a KA sump. It just needs the mounting points extended slightly for the bushings to the frame rails. It is smaller of course but relatively easy to get, especially if you have a B210 (i.e. trade a 1200 guy).
